Parallax Launch Swiss Finance Corporation Website

Another day, another fantastic new website designed and built by Parallax.

Today sees the launch of a brand new website for high-profile client Swiss Finance Corporation, a foreign exchange firm based in central London.

The website keeps a clear corporate tone and theme throughout but with a clean, modern feel and design. As well as sleek visuals and distinctive portfolio pages, the website has a simple and straight-forward navigation so that visitors can move around the site easily.

One of the most impressive features is the sliding page transitions. Our director, Andy Fitch, explains how we built the page transitions on the site: ‘The main four pages of the site use a JavaScript library called pjax to load HTML from the server. It loads into the current page without the need for a full page reload and this allows the user to navigate between pages using a sliding transition, providing a more seamless user experience.’

The sliding transition theme has even been incorporated into Swiss Finance Corporation’s team profile page. Visitors can click the headshot of each team member and their personal profile simply slides into view. Andy explains the decision to build profile sliders on the new website: ‘Team pages are often crammed with text but we decided to take a different approach. We wanted to show each team member individually but make sure that visitors were not overloaded with information. We decided to build sliding profile sections so that users can see more information when they select it.

‘We visited Swiss Finance Corporation down at Cavendish Square to take some high quality photography which has been used on the site. We feel this gives the team page a really personal touch and allows the user to get a feel for who Swiss Finance Corporation are, not just what they do.’
