Lawrence visits former school to inspire students

One of our directors, Lawrence, visited his old high school last week to talk to students about creative thinking.

Lawrence spoke to Year 10 students at All Saints School in York about his day to day work as a director at Snapshot Media to help inspire them to think about some challenges they’ll be taking part in this academic year.

Mariclaire from the school sent us some feedback about how Lawrence’s words had impacted on the students’ work: ‘They really enjoyed Lawrence’s talk and pronounced him to be very cool! They thought the company and the products you are developing were very exciting. They were really interested in the fact that Lawrence had built his own business and the independence the directors had because of that.

‘I was very pleased though that they also recognised the importance of doing something that you enjoy and the holistic benefits that brings with it. They agreed that they would be prepared to work really hard if they enjoyed their work and stood to be recognised and rewarded.’

Lawrence was thrilled to be invited back to All Saints and really enjoyed his afternoon with Year 10: ‘In a way it was a bit nerve wracking as well as a huge honour to be invited back to my old school. I answered all their questions honestly and I hope that I’ve helped them to see new ways around problems that maybe they hadn’t thought about before.’

Almost a third of the Snapshot Media team attended All Saints School in York which is where Andy, Dario, Tom and Lawrence all met. Bravo Lawrence!
