Meet our new interns, Kyle & Rupert!
Every time someone comes to visit our office lately – they comment on how much bigger we’ve grown.
It’s not because we’re all putting on weight but because we’ve got lots of new faces in our team!
Kyle Molleson and Rupert King have both come to us on internships from Leeds University and will be with us for 12 weeks.
Rupert is from Holland Park in West London and has just completed his degree in English & Philosophy. Before coming to Snapshot Media, Rupert had had successful placements at a talent management agency in New York and Ernst & Young in London. Rupert is a massive music lover and a grade 8 drummer! He’s DJed all over the UK, Croatia and Thailand and currently helps organise 2 club nights in Leeds – FullFat and Vagabondz which both focus on dance music.
Rupert will mainly be devising and writing SEO campaigns and content for digital and says ‘Snapshot Media are an up and coming company with young employees so I felt like I could fit in easier than a big corporate organisation where you had to wear a suit everyday. The fact that this is a copywriting role combined with SEO, which interests me from a marketing perspective, and that it was based in Leeds meant that it seemed like the perfect opportunity!’
Kyle comes from Dorset and has recently finished his degree in Music, Multimedia & Electronics. He’s joined our development team and has been working on the front end development of a new project as well as getting to grips with PHP and our unique content management system Expose. Outside work Kyle also has a few music projects on the go, one being an ever growing afrobeat band of 12 musicians! He cycles to work when it’s not snowing and skateboards when it’s dry.
Kyle says ‘Through University I learnt various programming skills and languages, mostly C/C++, and I enjoyed creating musical based hardware/software projects. Web Development didn’t feature as part of my course and I feel that it is a forward thinking and exciting industry to be involved in so I jumped at the opportunity of an internship at Snapshot.’
